Boxed dinner ration in the 1944 style color printed carton. One end has been glued shut, and there is a pinhead size
hole in the face of the carton above "Supper", likely caused by an insect gaining access to the ancient buffet inside.
Still looks good for display. III

M1C helmet has 85% olive drab textured finish that appears to be a 1950's era repaint, with silver painted Captain's
bars on the front, and large bugle tactical markings on the sides. Brim has rear weld seam, and flexible chinstrap loops
have well-worn dark olive drab web paratrooper chinstraps. Has a 1950's Westinghouse high-pressure para liner with
separately applied dark olive web 'A' web fittings, web chin cup, brown leather liner chinstrap with the post-WWII
black cam buckle, and dark olive drab web suspension. Exterior has nice olive drab painted finish. Though a few years
too late for WWII, this M1C certainly carries on in the tradition of the most desirable paratrooper helmets, with nice
unit-specific tactical markings. II

composition liner with faint maker stamp that appears to be International Molded Plastics. Has light olive web
suspension with clip-in sweatband, nape strap, and brown leather chinstrap with the early olive painted cam buckle.
The brim has slipped just a few mm on one side of the weld seam on the reverse. Interesting helmet. II
