"7-1/8".

on these helmets remain intact on this one. Helmet includes a pair of the M1938 Resistal goggles, with
spring-mounted sides on a gray rubber facemask and and brown elastic headband. These did not survive as well as the

at Norfolk (1938), promoted to Lt. Commander July 1, 1941, and Commander August 20, 1942. We found him
aboard the
USS Pensacola
CA-24 in January 1945. During that Pacific Cruise,
Pensacola
suffered numerous killed and
wounded inflicted by Japanese shore batteries on Iwo Jima, as she operated close to the coast to cover the
minesweepers that were preparing the way for the landings. The last service record we found for this officer was as
Captain of the Andromeda-class attack cargo ship
USS Muliphen
AKA-61 from July of 1948 to July 1949. Nice
premium quality sword, and good potential for further research. II
