non-removable brown leather liner chinstrap with frame buckle. Interior of the crown has yellow stamped "SC"
trademark of the St. Clair Rubber Company of Maryville, Michigan. Liner exterior is nice with 90% olive drab finish.
Has none of the edge fractures that you normally find on these St. Clair liners. Very nice set! II+

Fixed loop M1 helmet has well-worn light olive web chinstraps, brim with front weld seam, and retains only scant
traces of the original olive drab finish. The front, back, sides, and top have large white painted discs with red Geneva
cross insignias, all of which have survived a bit better than the olive drab, with the Red Cross having the most
longevity of the three. Helmet has heavy oxidized patina and light surface rust throughout. No liner. Rough as a cob,
but also an original and affordable Medic's M1 helmet. III-

chinstraps, and retains 90% original textured olive drab finish. Right side has red and blue 38th Division applied
insignia, which is loose in the corners where the adhesive has given way. The insignia has been on the helmet for quite
some time, and I believe it to be a legitimate service-related, but post-war addition. Interior has nice CAPAC
high-pressure liner which retains 90% original olive drab finish; liner interior has light olive drab web suspension
complete with nape strap, russet leather sweatband, and original leather liner chinstrap with the wartime olive finished
cam buckle. Nice helmet. II

yellow stamped "SC" trademark of the St. Clair Rubber Company of Maryville, Michigan. Interior has ink inscription
with initial and partial service number, as well as soldier's name. Exterior has near perfect olive drab finish; edges are
also quite nice without the usual fractures that are found on these. Excellent example. II
