Post-1910 production dark blue wool cap with double light blue stripes around the band. Has a black leather visor and
chinstrap with brass rimmed eagle buttons. Complete with brass "8 / B" crossed rifles insignia on the obverse. Lined in
black cotton with "THE LILLEY CO." silver embossed maker's mark and leather sweatband. One small moth hole on
the top of the crown, sweatband appears to have been re-stitched and some stitching is loose. II

Model 1904 Hospital Corps bolo knife with single-bevel edge blade in good polish, with just a few light age spots.
Ricasso stamped "US / 35629" on obverse and "S A / [Ordnance bomb] / 1913" on reverse. Fitted with S- shaped brass
guard and a nice contoured, one-piece walnut grip. Complete with M1905 scabbard, Pecard-free brown leather,
stamped "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL / 1910", fitted with aluminum throat and blued steel belt loop. Nice set. II+

Model 1904 Hospital Corps bolo knife with single-bevel edge blade in good polish, with just a few light age spots.
Ricasso stamped "US / 11272" on obverse and "S A / [Ordnance bomb] / 1909" on reverse. Fitted with S- shaped brass
guard and contoured, one-piece walnut grip that exhibits no splits and one small dent. Complete with M1905 scabbard
stamped "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL / 1912" and fitted with a blued metal throat and belt loop. Scabbard is dark and a
bit oily from an ill-advised but well-meaning application of leather 'treatment'. Knife II+ / Scabbard III+

Model 1904 Hospital Corps bolo knife with single-bevel edge blade in good polish, has a few edge nicks, light age spots,
and a bit of minor pitting in places. Ricasso stamped "US / 24104" on obverse and "S A / [Ordnance bomb] / 1912" on
reverse. Fitted with S- shaped brass guard and a worn but good one-piece contoured walnut grip. Complete with M1905
scabbard, Pecard-free brown leather, stamped "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL / 1909", fitted with blued metal throat and
blued spring steel belt loop. II

M1904 Hospital Corps Knife

Scarce 1910 pattern bolo has the push button scabbard catch that was omitted on the later 1917 and 1917 C.T.
pattern knives. Ricasso stamped on one side of ricasso, "S. A. / [Ordnance Bomb] / 1911" and "U.S. / 5372" on the
reverse. Blade has mottled gray finish and a blunt tip. Includes the correct, undated khaki web covered rawhide
scabbard. There is a partial name scratched onto the back of the brown leather tip. For every couple of hundred Bolos
we handle, we are lucky if only one is this early, push-button style. Scarce blade missing from most collections, II

Third type .38 caliber holster (c.1903-1906), of russet leather, with curved stitching feature at the point of the trigger
guard, and subsequent 1909 modification of an added elkskin thong inside the belt loop, for securing the holster to the
cartridge belt through one of the eyelets. Has nice crisp "US" oval cartouche on the front; "ROCK ISLAND
ARSENAL" maker's stamp, "1903" date, and inspector's initials on the flap. Base has elkskin leg thong. Excellent
example which shows very little wear and remains Pecard-free. Normal examples in lesser condition are readily
available for about half the price, but this one would be very difficult to upgrade! II+

Fifth type .38 caliber holster (c.1907-1911), of russet leather, with curved stitching feature at the point of the trigger
guard; retains the clipped remains of the elkskin thong inside the belt loop. Exterior flap has "US" oval cartouche on
the front; "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL" maker's stamp, "1910" date, and inspector's initials on the flap. Base has
elkskin leg thong. Leather remains Pecard-free, in condition pliable enough for normal display but a bit stiff. Has
some verdigris on the brass components, scuffs and dings from normal wear. II

Includes issue aluminum cup and canteen with the common style knurled edge cap, neither have maker marks or dates,
which is theorized to indicate canteens made in 1916. Khaki canvas and light olive web cover has faint "U.S." on the
front, bronze rimless eagle snap closures, and inverted 'V' loop on the reverse with snap hook attachment. Interior has
faint inspector initials stamp, maker or date no longer visible. Snaps remain good and solid. Normal wear. II

Includes issue aluminum canteen with the common style knurled edge cap, no maker or date markings, but it is stamped
with unit "360 / H / 217". Light olive canvas and web cover has bronze rimmed eagle snap fasteners, nice crisp "U.S."
stencil on the front, bronze wire belt hanger on the reverse, and sides with riveted leather straps securing bronze 'D'
rings to which an adjustable leather shoulder strap is attached with snap hooks. Marked "R.I.A. 1915" on flap interior.
Has stains and faint unit markings on the cover, and one eagle snap fitting which is damaged and has pulled through the
fabric of the cover. Interesting variant, III

Includes issue aluminum canteen with the common style knurled edge cap, no maker or date markings. Light olive
canvas and web cover has bronze rimless eagle snap fasteners, "U.S." stencil on the front, and sides with sewn olive web
straps securing bronze 'D' rings to which an adjustable leather shoulder strap is attached with snap hooks. No visible
maker or date markings on the cover. Has several worn holes in the material, but the snap fittings remain good and
solid. Has some minor stains, mostly on the reverse. Interesting variant eagle snap canteen set. II

Army Eagle Snap Canteen Set: Variant With Shoulder Strap

M1910 early pattern 'flat top' aluminum canteen with chain secured on a ring around the neck of the canteen body,
has some minor pitting from corrosion but remains fine for display. Unmarked aluminum cup has surface pitting.
Cover is quite nice, retains good strong olive color with black "U.S." stencil, bronze rimless eagle snap fasteners in
good condition, and bronze wire belt hanger. Interior has inspector initials, but no visible maker or date.

Army Eagle Snap Canteen Set with Early Flat Top M1910 Canteen

Early pattern issue wound dressing pouch, of khaki canvas with small bronze glove snaps and wire belt hanger that
passes through two grommets in the top back side of the pouch. Interior has "R.I.A. 1909" maker's date stamp.
Obverse is stenciled with unit markings "59 / crossed cannon / SC / US". You can see faint "SNY" former New York
property mark underneath that. Retains nice strong color. Rare pouch with great markings! II+
